that is too far for you to travel?
Consider bringing a class to your area!
Call or email and we will discuss how to make that happen.
Following is a list of the different Continuing Education workshops offered.
Other topics taught, in a massage school setting, include Swedish Massage,Pre-Natal Massage, Chair Massage, Marketing, Ethics,  and Law.

  • Ortho-Bionomy
Ortho-Bionomy was developed by Arthur L.Pauls,  a British osteopath and judo instructor, who developed a technique which could gently
work with the body's inherent ability for self correction. This is a  wonderful technique to address stress, and has been found to be a safe
and highly effective method to work with postural and structural imbalances as well as injury and pain.
Exploring Patterns of Movement
Exploring Patterns of Movement addresses skin, fascia, muscle, and bone, and specifically all the joints and major muscle groups, as we
explore patterns of movement or stillness, learning to enhance mobility.  You will learn timing, range of motion, and how to use movement
to asses holding patterns and re educate the body mind.
Basics of O-B: Spine & Pelvis
Basics of O-B: Spine & Pelvis  We work with positional release techniques for each area, combined with O-B philosophies, making this a
comprehensive treatment. Specific techniques for cervical, thoracic, lumbars, sacrum, and pelvic stabilization.
Basics of O-B: Extremities
Basics of O-B: Extremities, same as above but with the focus on shoulders, elbows, wrists, ankles and knees.

  • Reflexology
Reflexology works with "reflex" points on the feet, which correspond to specific organs, glands and other parts of the body. Proper
stimulation of these points brings about balance, and therefore self healing. Considered indirect but specific, it helps bring  about
homeostasis to many body systems and associated stresses.
Basics of Reflexology (formerly called Introduction to Reflexology)
Introduction to Reflexology class covers the theory and techniques for a basic reflexology session, including practitioner's hand techniques.
Guidelines, zones, and a foot chart are used to learn the exact placement of referral points.
Reflexology Level 2
Reflexology Level 2 begins with a review of the information in Introduction to Reflexology and moves on to  working the chakra energy
centers via the feet, use of somatic techniques for a pain free release of trigger points, and  specific treatment sequences for various common
ailments.
Somatic Reflexology
Somatic Reflexology is an innovative technique combining Foot Reflexology and Ortho-Bionomy. We cover positional releases using the
foot for indirect work on various body areas, as well as an easy and pain free release for tender referral points.

  • Cranio-Sacral Therapy
Cranio-Sacral Therapy focuses on the rhythm of the cerebro-spinal fluid and the systems related to the central nervous system. A
physiological relaxation response is induced with this gentle technique. Helpful for people suffering with TMJ problems, headaches and
eye strain, lower back injuries, and resolving new or old trauma to the body.
Basics of Cranio-Sacral Therapy(formerly called Introduction to Cranio-Sacral Therapy)
Introduction to Cranio-Sacral Therapy class covers the theory and techniques for a basic Cranio-Sacral session, including practitioner's hand
techniques. This light touch technique follows natural rhythms of the body, stimulating self healing for client.
Cranial Unwinding
Cranial Unwinding is an innovative technique combining Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Ortho-Bionomy Exploring Patterns of Movement. We
work with the cranial connective tissue, unwinding patterns of restriction, finding positions of comfort & ease.

  • The Tao of Ethics
The Tao of Ethics class covers the Guidelines and Standards of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, as
well as the Code of Ethics of LSBMT and several other professional organizations. There is a 2 hour focus on boundaries, as required by
NVBTMB. Surprisingly fun and thought provoking, this seemingly dry subject is usually quite lively and gives professional therapists a
chance to anonymously discuss situations with their colleagues.
*please note: this class is open to professional therapists only.
* ALL classes are open to anyone with a sincere interest in the
healing arts, novice or experienced therapists alike.
1 exception: Tao of Ethics open to professional therapists only
